Orange and Cinnamon Dangles

I make these "Dangles" every year for hanging in our home over the Yule period.

They're simple slices of Orange and Limes, dried and then threaded on to natural Jute string and interspersed with Cinnamon sticks and Bayleaves and smell wonderful.

I've finished them with a wooden bead, some Jute ribbon in either a natural colour or red and a rustic Raffia bow at the top.  There is a loop of string at the top for hanging.

These naturally smell great but you can also purchase some "Yuletide oil" to keep them smelling fantastic for longer.

They're roughly 45cm long including the loop of string for hanging and look great hung from door handles or anywhere you've got a spare hook.
Being a natural, perishable product, you can only expect to get one season's use out of them as the colours of the fruit get very dark over time and they do absorb any moisture in the air.  The good news is, they're totally recyclable and compostable.

They're meant for use indoors but if you want to hang them outside they'll still look good for quite a while but will suffer from any damp weather and gradually deteriorate.

I'm also making some larger garlands which you can hang in doorways, fireplaces, (keep well away from the flames), bookcases, dressers etc.  These are about a metre long and have loops at both ends. You can find these here: Orange & Cinnamon Garland
