Chives have mild onion flavoured, grass-like leaves with very pretty (edible) purplish/pink globe flowers.

The fresh chopped leaves can be added to salads, sauces, omelettes etc., wherever a mild onion flavour is required.

The flowers are very attractive to bees and other pollinators.
