Phacelia, also known as fiddleneck, has soft blue or lavender flowers which are loved by bees and hoverflies.
Sow in spring, for summer flowers, or early autumn for flowers in spring/early summer. Prepare the soil by removing any weeds and raking lightly. Scatter the seeds thinly on the soil surface where they are to grow and cover lightly with soil. Keep soil moist until germination occurs.
