Looking forward to this Sunday. Little bit chilly for gardening but just the right weather for finding your herbs to plant out in the warm weather to come.

  • Lots of propogation happening in the polytunnel yesterday. I love taking cuttings and still find it magical that a new plant grows from a snippet of stalk and a few leaves.  You'll be pleased to know that no  chemical rooting hormones  are ever used on my herb cuttings but I have just read an interesting article about making your own homemade rooting compound from a kind of willow tea.  This is something I'll have to experiment with and I'll keep you posted...
Prepared spearmint cuttings
