Site and soil type: Prefers well drained soil in full sun.
When to sow: Early summer or early autumn
Caraway has white flowers mid to late summer of its second year.
The ripe seeds are used to flavour cakes & bread and the leaves can be used in salads.
Sow outside in early summer or early autumn. Scatter the seeds onto the soil, cover with fine soil and water in.
Caraway dislikes being transplanted so sow where you want to the plant to grow and flower.
The seeds can be harvested when brown and stored in airtight containers.
