Also known as Hare’s eye and Ragged Jack, Red Campion is a tall clump forming plant, loved by bees.
The flowers are bright pink, (not red), and appear mainly in late spring although flowers may appear through to October. Red Campion is a hedgerow or woodland plant in the wild so prefers some shade.
Sow in spring or early autumn. Prepare the soil by removing any weeds and raking lightly. Scatter the seeds thinly on the soil surface where they are to grow, and gently rake them in or cover lightly with soil.
