This is the familiar red poppy that grows in cornfields, also known as Flanders Poppy, Corn Poppy or Common Poppy.
Upright habit with bright scarlet flowers.
Sow directly into the soil in spring or autumn making sure they are not covered too deeply as poppy seeds need some light to germinate.
