Site and soil type: Prefers moist but well-drained soil in sun or light shade.
When to sow: Spring to late summer.
Cherry Belle has small round roots, bright red skin and white flesh.
It has a mild sweet flavour and is slow to turn woody.
Radishes are quick growing and can be harvested about 4 weeks after sowing.
If left to flower, they produce white or pale purple flowers which provide pollen and nectar for bees.
Sow seeds 1-2 cm deep into well-weeded soil.
When plants appear thin to about 3 cm apart.
Keep soil watered in dry weather and harvest the roots when still young, (older roots may go woody).
Best grown as small batches every few weeks.
