Field Scabious is a clump forming plant with lilac-blue flowers in summer, a food plant for bees and butterflies. It is also known as Lady’s Cushion or Purple Buttons.
Sow directly into the soil in Spring or autumn and either gently rake the seeds in or cover very lightly with soil. They can also be sown into trays of compost and pricked out and grown on for later planting or sown into biodegradable pots for planting when grown.
