Dyer's Chamomile Seeds - Anthemis tinctoria
Dyer's Chamomile - Anthemis tinctoria
Type: Hardy Perennial
Approximate height: up to 1m
Flowering time: Summer
Site and soil type: Light and well-drained soil in sun.
Care: Divide plants every 2-3 years.
When to sow: Spring
Very pretty yellow daisy-like flowers in summer held above very attractive, fragrant, finely cut leaves.
When I grew this in my garden, I found it was very popular with large bumble bees.
It is also used as a dye plant when it produces a brownish-yellow shade.
Sow in spring or early autumn. Prepare the soil by removing any weeds and raking lightly.
Scatter the seeds thinly on the soil surface where they are to grow, and gently rake them in or cover very lightly with soil. Water gently.
They can also be grown in pots or trays inside, (I recommend using peat free biodegradable pots), and planted out when grown.
Contents: Approximately 450 seeds / 0.17 g
