Californian Poppy - Mission Bells - Eschscholzia californica ‘Mission Bells’

Type: Hardy Annual

Approximate height: 25 cm

Flowering time: From early summer to autumn.

Site and soil type: Prefers well drained soil in full sun.

When to sow: Spring to early summer or early autumn.

Californian Poppy ‘Mission Bells’ are compact bushy plants with feathery leaves and single or semi-double flowers in mixed colours - white, yellow, orange, pink or red.

Very easy to grow. Sow directly into the soil from mid-spring onwards. Cover the seed very lightly with soil and keep moist until the seeds have germinated.

If successive sowings are made you will have blooms from July to September. An autumn sowing will give you earlier and stronger plants next summer.
