Fennel is a tall impressive herb with feathery leaves and umbels of yellow flowers in summer which are attractive to a range of beneficial insects. 

All of the plant has a distinctive, aniseed-like scent and taste, and can be used for flavouring in cooked dishes and dressings.

A great plant for the herb garden and flower beds.

Fennel provides food for the following creatures:
