Red Veined Sorrel is a very attractive herb with bright green leaves with red veins.
It has a tangy flavour and is best used added to salads although it can be cooked liked spinach or chard. Use only young leaves as they can get tough when large.
Remove flowering stems when they appear
The plant is very early to appear in spring and slow to die down in autumn.
