Purple Toadflax has an upright, slender habit with very pretty spires of flowers in various shades of purple with grey-green narrow leaves.

This beautiful plant will flower throughout the summer, into the autumn and is very popular with bees and other insects, (and subsequently is of benefit to bats).

Purple toadflax attracts / provides food for the following creatures:

  • Bees including Bumblebees, Mason Bees and Wool Carder bees
  • Moths including the caterpillars of the Toadflax Brocade moth - (scarce and currently only in S.E. England and Wales but spreading)
  • 🦇 (RHS)  Listed in the RHS Plants for Bats list

All our seed packets include sowing instructions.

Jemima’s Garden seeds are plastic free and reyclable. They’re contained in an inner glassine envelope, (made from pine wood cellulose), and an outer paper seed packet. Any shipping packaging is also plastic free and recyclable.
